  1. I don't think it's fair to charge handicapped patrons for holds on books. It is particularly difficult for us to get around to the book shelves.

  2. why is it not possible to solve a security problem w/o penalizing the entire law-abiding population? One offence: banned 4 a month; 2nd offence: banned 4 a year 3rd offence: banned 4 life.Since when does a criminal have full rights in our society? A convicted felon DOESN"T have full rights; a punk in the library DOES, apparently.Get it togeather, Folks

  3. Dear Stephen,
Thank you for taking the time to send your feedback about library security. We routinely review security procedures and policies. Patron feedback is important to us for these reviews. If you would like to talk more about library security, please feel free to contact me to arrange a meeting.

    Thank you again.

  4. We apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced. Any member of the Library staff is available to help retrieve a book from the bookshelves anywhere in the Library free of charge. Also, we do have a special service, the "Pick-Up Shelf" which is a courtesy for patrons who are absent, or otherwise cannot immediately take out any items. This service allows two (2) items to be held until end of the next library day. You can call the Adult Reference Desk at 272-4556 or 272-4557 (ext 259) if you would like us to place an item on the pick-up shelf for you. Please feel free to contact me to talk more about your concerns. Thank you for taking the time to send us your feedback and questions.
